I am a senior and trying to streach my budget by trying to raise meal worms. I ordered and received 5000 and receved them in fine shape. I have read worm mans info on their life span and what to expect. However, now some of the worms just turn black and die?? I take the pupae and put in seperate container some make it to the beetle, some of the pupae turn black and die. I keep the worms at room temp and change bedding on the worms about every two weeks, (wheat bran) and keep fresh potatoes sliced for water. I guess the question is What am I doing wrong? why are some worms dieing and why are some of the pupae turning black and dieing?? Some help would be appreciated. THANK YOU John
